I hate that you are having these headache problems and hope you find a solution quickly. Thank you so much for all the content you provide. It's always beneficial and interesting
Hope you find the cause of the headaches. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I totally agree that the sun is the best source of vitamin D. Strangely, I just watched an interview with Dr. Michael Nehls discussing his book “The Indoctrinated Brain” and he believes that there’s a concerted effort going on to discourage the government and medical community from promotion of vitamin D. That’s pretty scary to me!
Yes, doctors have been informed recently to stop ordering vitamin D test on blood tests. They were told it’s a waste of time. It’s a waste of time for them bc deficiency provides no additional income. However, if you do not test and a person has health issues as a result of deficiency, a medical professional can provide drug solutions.
If any of your upper teeth have root canals, that could be causing your headaches. I was having bad headaches that were even affecting my vision. It turned out to be an infection under a root canalled tooth. The tooth wasn't bothering me at all, but when I had it extracted, I could smell the stink of the infection, and my headaches were gone in less than a week.
Actually, this is what I am thinking. The pain is behind my left eye and top of left side of head. I have two upper root canals on that side from over 20 years ago. I don’t have a dentist and I can’t find a biological one in the area so I may just have to find one soon and see if that is the cause. Did you have to get an implant them once they removed the tooth?
I have upper and lower partials and only have one molar left, so I haven't gotten an implant. If I were to get one, I'd want it to be ceramic, not titanium.
When this happened to me, I knew nothing about the dangers of root canals. It was an ear, nose and throat specialist that told me this tooth was probably causing my problems. It was several months later that both Dr Yoho and Unbekoming both had articles on the subject, and it convinced me to have two more root canalled teeth extracted before they caused me any problems. Both of them said root canalled teeth are ALWAYS infected. But I doubt if you'll find a dentist that's willing to admit that. If you haven't read those articles, they're well worth your time - I think Unbekoming had one and Yoho had several.
I'm also more than willing to answer any other questions about my personal experience. Your headaches sound exactly like what I was having - it seemed like a bad sinus headache, but only on the side where the root canalled tooth was.
I’m so sorry you are suffering. I had severe debilitating headaches for 17 years. The pain was so intense at times I would vomit. I told my husband I could never have kids because I could hardly take care of myself. I found permanent relief through NAET and the right practitioner. I’ve had NAET treatments since when I needed a ‘boost’ but no practitioner as good as the first. I realize you are most likely familiar with this treatment, but if you’d like any additional information, please let me know.
With headaches this severe starting when you moved, I think you should consider getting an MRI just as a base of information before investigating other causes.
I'm sorry to hear that you're suffering. I'd suggest tracking everything you eat with Cronometer. There's a free version and there's a paid subscription (I have the annual plan, but you can subscribe for $10 a month), and the latter tracks all your nutritional information, so you can identify deficiencies and get suggestions on foods that provide those nutrients. (Whenever possible, I try to get vitamins and minerals from food, rather than supplements. Or sunshine, if course.)
I believe The Midwestern Doctor has mentioned in one of their articles on DMSO that it can help with headaches. Have you tried that?
Since I love a good nerdy research challenge, I did a bit of digging on butter and vitamin D content. I used a combination of search tools like ecosia.org, semanticscholar.org and phind.com. Based on my digging, I think the vitamin D content will vary a lot depending on numerous factors, such as region, farming practices, season, etc.
One article I came across had this nice table showing the vitamin D level in different butter types:
I'm not sure where the author got their numbers from, though.
From Semantic Scholar, I was able to find this Denmark study (coincidentally, the blogger at ShiftyChevre is originally from Denmark) which shows that milk, cream, and butter contains some vitamin D:
One of the questions I asked Phind was about how nutritional content is calculated. I used the lowest vitamin D amount from the ShiftyChevre table and asked Phind if it would be labeled as "0 μg per ounce" on a nutritional label. Based on FDA regulation and specific rounding practices, it would indeed be labeled "0 μg per ounce".
AI-based search tools like Phind are a mixed bag. There were a couple of times Phind stated something that didn't match what their own references said. lol You definitely can't abdicate responsibility of critical thinking to these tools. If you're curious to read my entire conversation with Phind, here's the public URL:
I’m using DMSO topically with no luck and swishing it in my mouth. I haven’t tried ingesting it yet. Thank you very much for doing the D content in butter search- I really appreciate that. Therefore, it looks like grass fed butter’s vitamin D content will vary but overall the amount is minimal. Good to know as this differs from the comment that grass fed butter’s has a “good amount” of vitamin D.

Okay that validates what he was saying. Now, I understand. Of course, it’s all about the money. What happened to the Hippocratic Oath?
Maybe it's now the "Hippocritic" oath?
Exactly! Hypocrisy is what they do best!
You might be magnesium deficient. I’ve read a lot about that lately. Something to look into. Feel better!
Thank you. I’m trying to find a phlebotomist so that I can get the spectra cell test done which will tell me what nutrients I may be deficient in.
I don't know exactly what lifeextension.com has for lab tests, but they have many you can order. Praying for your healing.
Sending love and healing thoughts that you get relief from your headaches. I’ve been there and it’s awful. 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you.

Please read my reply to Kimry's comment. I accidentally put my reply to you under the wrong post.

Thank you. Yes, I am familiar with NAET and used a practitioner frequently many years ago with one of our sons.

Thank you. I started keeping a journal a few days ago to help me identify triggers.
