My MD who's also homeopathic and extremely against clot shots, etc recommends a 100. Mine was at 80 something with last blood work I got from my gyno. He administers my biote so I have him check EVERYTHING once a year and label it "yearly physical" blood work so insurance will cover. He then had his nurse recommend I go down from 4000 to 2000 since I was close to high end of 100 recommended. This new doctor said no...stay on 4000. 100 is better. 🤷‍♀️

Some research indicates closer to 100 may be better for cancer prevention and if you actively have cancer. But other research, say for breast cancer and all-cause mortality have found around 60 to be effective. So, it goes back to the individual and your doctor knows probably what range is best for you. 100 is a safe range. Glad you get your D levels checked regularly.

And only 89 years old. Another life cut short by nefarious nutrients.

This from a search for vitamin D toxicity: "Symptoms of vitamin D toxicity include high levels of calcium in the blood, confusion, apathy, recurrent vomiting, abdominal pain, polyuria, polydipsia, and dehydration. The dose at which vitamin D supplements become toxic is not clear, but research shows that taking 60,000 international units (IU) of vitamin D a day for several months can cause toxicity."

I can't believe that this man didn't have any symptoms that the doctor should have noticed and investigated with questions and thorough blood testing.

Good catch, I missed the part that gave his age of 89! Funny, I see so many articles now saying “they died of natural cause” of people in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s but a 89 year old living way past life expectancy- supplements killed him!

Omegaquant does not have a D test. They test only omega levels.

Interesting. I just looked at the site and I am curious as to why it is no longer there. I have mine sitting right here and I will post the picture of the kit in the morning. I see that I can still order the kits via one of my professional sites but it is not listed on Fullscript so perhaps a professional has to order it for you but I am surprised by that. I will reach out to the company over the weekend and see if I get a response next week.

I might be missing something... I went on the omegaquant site, but am only seeing tests for Omega 3 and DHA. Am I looking in the right place? I am interested in a do-it-at-home test. I've been taking D along with K and magnesium. Thanks!

See my response to Linda above. It used to have it for direct to consumer order but I can still order it as a professional so I am unsure of why the change. I will look into this and post a response next week. There also has to be other D blood spot tests available so I will look into that as well when I have a chance.
