Thank you! This is helpful. My wife and I avoid eating out when we can because of this very issue. I wish it was a free app, but it is a good sign that there is an app at all. It signals that maybe more people are paying attention to the seed oil issue now.
The more people that choose places to eat that do not use seed oils, the more restaurants that will follow suit-not b/c they care that seed oils are inflammatory but b/c they understand these changes will bring in customers and profit. Either way, it's a move in the right direction.
I think the dangers of these seed oils aren't limited to the fact that they might be RANCID. They are toxic for many more reasons: GMO 's, the way they're processed, etc.

The app is a nice idea but do you really trust the establishments? It’s definitely more work to prepare meals at home but that is the route we have taken.
Personally, I eat out when I have to and whereas many people enjoy going out to eat every week, I'm fine if don't eat out at all. But there are times when you have no choice such as when traveling or just for a social event. I think the app is a sign that people will demand healthier options. I guess there is no way to know unless you know someone who works in that restaurant.

Thank you for this! They can fry MY food in BUTTER, LARD, BACON GREESE, etc.;-) I am DONE with plant oils.

Yes, I should have elaborated but probably most of my readers are aware of the harms of these inflammatory, oxidized oils.
