Twin Sisters Eat Different Diets for Two Weeks to See What Happens
In this short video, the researchers examined the diet of twin girls. They measured various biomarkers such as lipids, fasting glucose, and weight. One sister consumed a whole foods diet, and the other consumed an ultra-processed diet.
Both diets were matched for macronutrients, calories, and micronutrients.
The sister on the whole foods diet felt full and sustained after meals and lost weight at the end of the two weeks. The other sister gained two pounds in the two weeks, had headaches, and felt hungry soon after the meals. Her lipids and glucose numbers indicated inflammation.
This was just two weeks of eating this food. Think of what eating like those for years will do to your physical health, how you feel mentally, and your energy levels.
I would love to see more detailed information, such as the actual pre and post-biomarkers, the foods in each diet, and a checklist of before and after symptoms such as headaches, brain fog, and fatigue.
