This recipe is a beautiful holiday healthy treat.
This is a Mark Hyman, MD recipe that is simple to make. I followed the recipe except for a couple of changes. My store has a supply issue with Medjool dates, so I substituted prunes. It still came out good, but I would prefer the dates. I did not add the salt to the top of the bar. I did use the chocolate that was called for, but I think I would omit chocolate from the recipe next time. I love chocolate, but I do not think this recipe needed it.
