Pain Supplements that Work
It seems like pain is a given as we age. We live longer and more active lifestyles, so it is unsurprising.
I keep a lot of supplements on hand, however, many of them are only used on an as-needed basis. Below, I will share what I keep on hand for joint, arthritic, and sports injury pain.
Wobenzym is an enzyme blend that needs to be taken on an empty stomach for pain issues.
Recently, for hip pain that was getting worse to the point of hurting with any movement, I took 3 tablets twice daily for a week. The pain dissipated, and I took 3 first thing in the morning. By the third week, I realized the pain was gone, but I still took it for a few more days. If the pain returns, I will resume using Wobezyme.
Enzymes have many uses, from food digestion as a tool in cancer therapy to pain and inflammation and much more.
Hemp For Pain, Sleep, Anxiety and More
My husband has been using the Hemp oil above for shoulder pain. He started out with 4 pumps once daily. After several days, he titrated up the dose to twice daily. It worked, and he was able to return to working out. When the bottle ran out, his pain soon returned.
I have been using the one above for years with good success with clients for various health conditions such as poor sleep, anxiety, and chronic pain.
I recently purchased the one below and will use my husband as a guinea pig to see if it eliminates his shoulder pain.
Do you use a hemp extract? If so, what brand do you use? What do you use it for, and has it worked?
DMSO
I used to keep a bottle of DMSO on hand for running injuries, but then the company disappeared online, and finding a quality DMSO product was challenging. I have been using this salve above occasionally (I have not found it very effective for me personally).
Still, I recently listened to this informative podcast on DMSO in which the guest speaker also carries DMSO and has written a book on DMSO’s many benefits. So, I was very excited to find this resource for DMSO!
It is worth a listen to as she discussed DMSO not only for arthritis and pain but for other health issues such as shingles, strokes, heart attacks, and much more. The link to the podcast will also share links to her book and DMSO store. I think she does not start talking about DMSO until 10 or more minutes into the conversation. Dr. Malik has many informative podcast guests, and I highly recommend signing up for his substack!
The only thing I may not entirely agree with in her discussion is near the end of the podcast, she advised on the elimination of coffee. I was unclear if she was saying coffee is not good for you or if she meant the dependence on caffeine.

Bottom Line: It is important to keep essentials on hand for when you need them and the resources for using them. For instance, I keep on hand professional-grade hydrogen peroxide (I can dilute it to the % that I need for any specific concern), colloidal silver, chlorine dioxide solution, D-Mannose, Mauka honey, zinc lozenges, and biocidin.
I find goldenseal root powder to be effective for infected cuts. Chlorine dioxide , and browns gas are very useful and water with a bond angle of 14 degrees
