New Studies/Information to Share on Pesticides, Autism, the FDA, Informed Consent Changes and Phthalates.
Short segements of useful heath information
Informed Consent Changes in Some Studies
The FDA as of January 24, 2024, has decided to approve that some clinical studies that have been determined to pose only minimal risk will no longer require prior informed consent from the participants.
When I went through the dissertation research process, my study included human participants. Even though the institutional Review Board determined that the study posed only minimal risk, I was required to provide the consent form, which was several pages long. It had to be done individually, and I had to allow ample time for potential participant questions.
Some people did not have questions, but many did.
I cannot believe that the consent of those who agree to participate can be removed!
Is this going to be the first step towards removing consent from studies that involve greater risk?
I am very grateful to everyone who participated in my study, but I will tell anyone that if the study does not provide informed consent, even if the risk is minimal, DO NOT participate.
Informed consent is a human right!
Can Dietary Changes Affect Austim Behaviors?
This study found that a gluten-free, casein-free diet with added supplements and digestive enzymes improved not only GI symptoms in children and adults with autism but also behavioral issues.
This is helpful information for everyone who has a loved one with autism, but on the flip side, we need to start doing a better job in autism prevention since the rate continues to rise.
Do you have a child with autism? If so, what have you tried to support them?
This Pesticide was found in 80% of the people tested
This was a small pilot study by Temkin et al. (2024) (pilot studies are typically small to determine if the results warrant further research with a larger sample size) that found four out of five participants' tests indicated chlormequat in their bodies.
This pesticide is linked to reproductive and developmental problems in animal studies.
Pesticides are ubiquitous, but you can take steps to minimize your exposure, such as buying from trusted local sources and growing your food.
Avoid spraying on your property if you can.
Ultra-Processed Foods and Fast Food Consumed While Pregnant Expose the Fetal Bloodstream to Phthalates
It is probably a no-brainer that fast food and refined foods are not the preferable options when pregnant, but this study shows that even phthalates coming from the worker’s gloves can get into the fast food.
Other studies indicate phthalate intake during pregnancy can increase the baby’s risk of low birth weight and mental health conditions such as ADHD and autism.
The less processed foods and packaged foods you consume, the better. But it is challenging. Even the organic whole foods you buy are often contained in plastic.
What is the FDA’s Purpose?
Established in 1906, the FDA is supposed to provide ingredient transparency and assure quality in pharmaceuticals and vaccines via appropriate sampling methodology to provide safe and effective medicines to the American public.
But instead, they do the opposite.
I recall reading an article about showing the Pfizer-modified mRNA data to the public probably two years ago. In that court case, the FDA kept repeating that Pfizer required more time (55 to 75 years).
I thought it interesting that the FDA protects the vaccine manufacturer, not the public. They said “we” need more time to reveal the documents.
I have also seen this in ACIP (Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices) meeting clips in which, when discussing the introduction of a new vaccine to the childhood schedule, the drug company and the FDA are referred to as “we.”
Shouldn’t “we” refer to the FDA and the American public?
Even though American tax dollars went to the vaccine manufacturers, they do not have to reveal test results or methodology used to the public, and currently, the modified mRNA injection ingredient information is a proprietary/trade secret.
The next time you hear “it is FDA-approved,” be skeptical and do your due diligence before trusting those words.

This is NOT information allopathic practitioners will share with you.
The fact that consent will not be required means those who participate will not know they are being studied. This is unethical.
