Interview link, and did you know this about reverse osmosis water and Brita filters?
Not all filtration systems are created equally.
Lies Are Unbecoming did a written interview of me. If you have not seen it, it’s below.
If you do not subscribe to his substack, I highly encourage you to do so. He shares a wealth of information on health, nutrition, science, and many other topics with a great deal of helpful information. At the end of his posts are links to his interview library and his book summary library.
Thank you so much to my new paid subscribers in the past month! For paid subscribers who reside in the US, you will receive supplement discounts when you sign up at my Fullscript link (posted at the bottom of each substack). For those outside of the US, I am sorry, they do not ship outside of the US, but you can get additional free time in a scheduled paid consult.
If you are a paid subscriber, email me when you set up a Fullscript account so I can add the discount on the backend.
The Downside of Reverse Osmosis and Brita Filters
I have written quite a bit about water previously because water is essential for life and plays a critical role in health. You need water for digestion, elimination, and even respiratory health.
City water can contain pharmaceuticals, glyphosate, fluoride chlorine, chromium, and much more.
Brita Filters
I notice in many homes that people use a Brita filter. A Brita filter will improve the taste of your water, especially if it has that chlorine smell/taste to it. This is what the Brita filter is designed for.
A Brita filter does not remove contaminants from your water such as heavy metals, chloramines, glyphosate, other pesticices and pharmaceuticals.
The Brita carbon filters are to improve taste only so do not be fooled into thinking you are drinking “cleaner” water.
Reverse Osmosis
Using RO filtration system can remove almost 100% of heavy metals, pesticides and fluoride but will also remove 85% to 90% of the minerals from the water. Most people who have RO don’t seem to mind the mineral removal stating they either add liquid minerals to their water or have a diet rich in vegetables and leafy greens and feel they get plenty of minerals from their diet.
The downside to RO which I just learned from reading Dr. Becker’s interview of Paul Barattiero is that you lose anywhere from 50% to 75% of the original water amount and keep only 25% to 50% of the water after filtration.
That is a lot of water wasted,, and I know that where I live, in Colorado, water is a precious resource that should not be wasted.
Want to know the quality of your tap water?
Go to https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/
A popup will appear. You do NOT need to provide any information. At the bottom of the popup, it will say, “Continue to the site.” Click that instead, and you will be brought to the page where you enter your zip code.
Put your zip code in, find your area from the list, and click to get your water report. Where I live, the report indicates that 8 contaminants in our water exceed EWG health guidelines.

What is going on with Berkey and other water filtration options
Berkey news and other filter options If you have not heard the news, Berkey black filters have been unavailable—information as to the reason why can be found at this link. https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/berkey-water-filter-maker-sues-epa-over-claims-that-its-products-are-pesticides-5492727?utm_campaign=socialshare_email&utm_source=email
I still prefer the countertop gravity systems.
Do you drink regular tap water?
If you use a filtration system, which one do you like? Please share in the comments so we can all learn from one another!
If you like my work, please consider supporting me and sharing my posts to help spread information on how to care for your health without relying on constant doctor visits and medications.
There is a great deal of health and nutrition deception out there, and I aim to clear up the confusion for you.
I do not post on any mainstream social media site, so I rely on you to help spread the word about my work.
We have used a Berkey filter for years and absolutely love it. It’s a shame and a crock what the EPA has done to them sadly.
Here's the system we have used for more than a year: Bluevua RO100ROPOT Reverse Osmosis System Countertop Water Filter, 4 Stage Purification, Counter RO Filtration, 2:1 Pure to Drain, Purified Tap Water, Portable Water Purifier for Home
Visit the Bluevua Store
It cleans out more than 98% of the impurities. We use 6 to 10 pots per day and give it a 5-star rating. Tap water is hard to drink when you have pure water. We take several mineral supplements to produce what has been removed. it is portable, but we use a good travel filter for trips.
