Broccoli Sprouts for Detoxification
A study by Egner et al. (2014) indicated that broccoli sprouts could aid in detoxification from air pollution, including exhaust fumes from vehicles. Now that people are traveling more, you may find yourself in a foreign city breathing in exhaust fumes. The study used broccoli sprout powder, which may be helpful when traveling. Otherwise, growing broccoli sprouts is very easy to do. Click my link below for information on growing sprouts and their other benefits.

Air pollution can contribute to a long list of respiratory illnesses. The study found that consuming the broccoli sprout drink increased the benzene excretion rate by 61%. Benzene, a known carcinogen, is primarily found in exhaust fumes, gas stations, and smoking. The drink was used since they were masking which group received the sprouts, so you do not need to consume them as a beverage. Eating them whole while fresh is preferred.
Fullscript provides several different products as broccoli sprout powder or capsules to take with you when traveling.

Skin Issues
I have been having facial skin issues in my smile creases and chin area. At first, I thought it would just go away, and it didn’t.
I then changed my diet and removed supplements for 3 months. No change.
I started 1 week ago today a protocol that is antibacterial-antifungal-detoxifying and gut healing. At this 1 week's mark, there is already a noticeable change, with much less redness and inflammation.
Because I am trying several things at once, I am unsure if it is one thing or more that is helping. I will stick with it and then remove one protocol at a time and monitor it. Even though I have had sensitive skin my entire life and 2 severe episodes of psoriasis, and some permanent severe sunburn damage on my nose and chin, this problematic skin issue surprised me.
I added the Air Doctor air purifier for the bedroom yesterday and started putting castor oil on my face at night a couple of days ago. I love the roll-on castor oil, (in the pic above), especially with dryer skin in the winter! The roll on is perfect since castor oil is thick and sticky. Castor oil can be beneficial topically for all skin types.
Skin issues can be very challenging and affect your self-confidence and mood. While topicals can be helpful, most skin issues need to be addressed from an internal root cause perspective.
Some issues that can cause skin eruptions include but are not limited to: repeated mold exposure, repeated environmental toxin exposure, low stomach acid, candida, food sensitivities, reaction to new lotions, soaps, detergents, cosmetics or supplements, stress, blood sugar dysregulation, excess sugar consumption, processed diet, bacterial infections such as H pylori, candida, SIBO, and other gut ailments, intestinal permeability, vaccine or medication reactions, nutrient deficiencies, systemic inflammation, alcohol abuse, hormonal dysregulation, and detoxification issues.
See how many different things can affect your skin. Hence, why a topical is the easiest solution, but in many instances, the skin issue will return as soon as the lotion is discontinued.
